Every success story is built on determination, opportunity and the support of those who believe in us. Today, Bethesda Home and School for the Blind proudly celebrates a remarkable milestone as three of our beneficiaries have been called to the Nigerian Bar.

Their call to the Bar is the culmination of years of hard work, resilience and an unwavering commitment to excellence. It is a moment that honours not only their personal achievements but also the power of a community that believes every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive.

The journey through the Nigerian Law School is both rigorous and demanding. For students who are blind, it can present additional challenges, from accessing learning materials to navigating unfamiliar environments. Yet, throughout this journey, Felix, Abel and Emmanuel remained focused on their goal, demonstrating that determination, when matched with the right support, can overcome even the greatest obstacles.

Bethesda Home and School for the Blind had the privilege of standing with them from the very beginning of their Nigerian Law School journey through to their Call to the Bar ceremony. Our support extended beyond financial assistance. We provided essential gadgets to aid their studies, ensured they had food and other necessities, and regularly checked in on their wellbeing, offering encouragement and emotional support whenever it was needed. We believed in them every step of the way because their success mattered to us.

Seeing them join the legal profession is a source of immense pride for the entire Bethesda family. Their achievement reflects the impact of investing in people, removing barriers and creating opportunities for persons who are blind to realise their full potential.

Felix, Abel and Emmanuel have also expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the Directorate of Bethesda Home and School for the Blind for its unwavering support throughout their journey. They acknowledge that the encouragement, care and practical assistance they received played a significant role in helping them reach this important milestone.
